Castaways Seafood & Grill

Castaway’s building was previously home to “Grandma’s Kitchen” and the “Chicken Coop”.  The Jones Family from Port Aransas purchased Castaway’s in 2005. Castaway’s restaurant prides itself on hand battered fried seafood made to order, whether it’s your catch or off the menu. Over the years, the restaurant menu has expanded to offer something for everyone, including baking the breads for Po-Boys daily.

Fin’s Grill and Icehouse

Fins Grill and Icehouse restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining, with a great view of the harbor and close to the ferry landing. Fin’s has a dine and ride special…a great meal at Fins restaurant and a boat tour experience with the team from Kohootz Dolphin Encounters. The Gaff

Kip Shannon and Dee Dee Anderson, co-owners of The Gaff restaurant, promote a “pirate” theme and are proud promoters of beltsander races (most Saturday afternoons).   Entrees include pizza, sandwiches, wings and anything the owners believe a pirate would like.

Moby Dicks Restaurant
Moby Dicks is a large restaurant founded by the locally legend Ed Zieglar.  Moby Dicks has a large gift shop, as well, with a “pirate” theme throughout. Entrees include burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and seafood.

Pelican’s Landing

This family friendly Port Aransas restaurant & bar provides outside, downstairs, upstairs seating since 1991.  Catch and cook your seafood (or Pelican’s will serve from their menu), prime-aged beef, appetizers, soups, salads and desserts.

Port Aransas Brewing Company

June and Bob Petitt (CPA and engineer) from Dallas opened Port Aransas Brewing Company June 2011. Port Aransas Brewing Company is an affordable family friendly restaurant with beer and pizza.

There are eight brewing tanks, each with a different beer. The most popular are Pilsner and Hefeweizen. Port Aransas Brewing Company restaurant also serves the popular English beer, Shandy, which are half Pilsner and half lemonade…even a real beer float which is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Entrees include pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, seafood, wings and sandwiches.

The Tarpon Inn

Prior to 1910, Port Aransas was known as Tarpon, Texas, due to the abundant schools of tarpon, in the area. The Inn was formerly a civil war barracks that was converted to The Tarpon Inn in 1886. Roosevelt’s, onsite restaurant, serves seafood, salads and steaks.  Roosevelt’s restaurant Sunday brunch is widely known and worth the effort to participate.

Virginia’s By the Bay

Virginia’s restaurant is a two story, open air restaurant with panoramic views of the Port Aransas harbor and Lighthouse, the ship channel and sunsets. Virginia’s has a large salt water aquarium with many tropical fish.  Offshore fishing boats berth at the restaurant’s dock, The Marlin Marina.  Menu selections include appetizers, salads, seafood, beef and sandwiches.
